Mundi RecraThe picturesque village of Lagow is located only 1,5km north of the holiday park Mundi Resort and lies between the 2 lakes. The first lake hosts the holiday park on it's shores and is called Lake Lagowsky and the other is called Lake Trzesniowsky. The village forms a bridge over the 2 waters and makes it an ideal holiday spot. In 1974 the village was officially raised to the status of health resort, where the clean air, the humidity and the water contribute to the health of everyone. Mundi RecraThe village was founded in the second half of the Middle Ages on the small peninsula between the two lakes, forming an quick crossing of the waters, the ideal place for a trading route. In these year the castle in the Order of St John was built as were the gates that formed an entrance to the village. The village shows a number of sights dating back to these days. The 15th century castle was originally built by the knights in the order of St John and serves now as a hotel and restaurant. It's definitely worth the visit, built on a hill surrounded by a large garden, let the 180 steps show you the way to the beautiful view and history that this place has to offer. The gates and town walls also date back to the late Middle Ages, The Brama Polska, the gateway to Poland, a narrow road takes you through the brick gate, built in the 16th century to guard the castle. The Brama Marchijska, the door to Brandenburg was built in the 15th century, also to protect the castle. Near this gate you'll find a souvenir shop. Opposite the you'll find the church of John the Baptist, that was built in the 18th century. On the nearby hilltop Sokola Gora you can visit the old tower dating back to the 14th century. A significant structure in the village is the railway viaduct built in 1906. A staircase takes you to the top where you can enjoy the view over the village.

The lively village of Lagow hosts the annual Lubusz film festival, also knows as the Lagow International Film Festival. This festival takes place each summer in the amphitheater at the waterfront, where various Polish movies are shown. In summer there will also be the Jazz and Blues festival and a motor event. Lagow is located in the centre of the Swiebodzin district, only 19km from the district capital of the same name. The larger city Zielóna Gora lies 46km from the park. Lagow offers you possibilities for the daily shopping. There is a bakery, small supermarket and chemist, but also various restaurants and cafés. At the castle is an ATM. For more extensive shopping you can go to Swiebodzin or Zielóna Gora.

Mundi RecraThe nature area around Lagow is called "Łagowski Park Krajobrazowy", the Lagow landscape park. The area has a surface area of almost 50km2 and hosts various nature reserves like Lake Trzesniowsky, Pawski Lug where beech-woods and bogs alternate and Nietoperek, where over 20.000 bats spend the winter yearly. The whole nature area hosts many protected plants and animals. It's a beautiful area for hiking and biking along the many signposted routes through the nature area. One of the most important characteristics of the area is water, which you will meet as lakes and streams surrounded by steep hills covered by beech trees. In Lagow you'll find the nature area's visitors centre, where you'll receive information about the park and the possibilities to visit.

Mundi RecraZielona Góra is one of the most beautiful cities of the region and is only a 46km drive from the park. The St Hedwig cathedral with part built in the 12th century and the 14th century market square are the most beautiful sights in the city. There are several other churches well worth the visit on your tour through the city. The vintage that starts in September each year is celebrated extensively, with an open air festival including theater, Music, film, museums, but most important is the ode to Bacchus, the Roman God of fertility and wine. You can walk through the various parks upon you visit of the city.

The capital city of Lubusz is Swiebodzin and is located only 19km from Lagow and is well worth the visit. The city originates from the beginning of the 12th century and has a rich history which you will see in the many sights like; the parish church St Michael, built in the 15th century and re-built in the 19th century. To this church belongs the Parish school from the 17th century. The city walls and castles originate from the late Middle Ages and are partly restored. Throughout the city you'll find various mansions built in the 18th and 19th century. The neo-gothic church of our Lady and the St John's chapel date from this same period.
